Dog Fouling (as of June 2012)

21 Jun 2012

Currently the Parish Council has no legal basis to implement or enforce any dog control and fouling bylaws, but is working with Three Rivers Council to introduce Dog Control Orders to limit the number of dogs to 4 per adult at Chorleywood House Estate and Chorleywood Common under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005

Both TRDC and CPC have received complaints relating to professional dog walkers, who are in charge of eight or more dogs at a time and who do not routinely put dogs on leads, or pick up after dogs in their charge. Each of several companies are known to visit the site two or three times a day.

The Parish Council provides dog litter bins and its office and local shops sell dog litter waste bags, and look towards responsible actions being taken by dog owners to clean up after their pets.
